Reality Tv
Reality TV-when is too much not a good thing? I am not sure when it actually started but seems everyone has jumped on the bandwagon. I remember enjoying the first Big Brother, the 2nd American Idol (I didn't know what the hype was at first), Gene Simmons Family Jewels and the list goes on. But when is enough, enough? We are now seeing "My Dad is Better than Your Dad", or worse yet the newest one about the Lie Detector Test. I guess we could blame the writers for submitting such tiresome TV but then we would also have to blame the people who are silly enough to take part in something like this.
Like American Idol for example-it has its share of drama and sometimes the ones that don't win come out farther ahead than those that win. I am not sure American Idol will ever find another Carrie Underwood-but here's to them trying.
I finally gave up on the Big Brother series, the Survivor, the Apprentices-maybe I would just rather watch a show that isn't real if only to escape for a bit to another place.
Reality can be fun when it comes to someone's life or someone achieving a weight loss goal. Or even the newer one that was on Lifetime with Carson about "How to Look Good Naked"...that show was helpful to many woman to just feel good about themselves and what God has given them.
So are there too many reality shows? Or are there just not enough of the "good" kind. It is only my opinion but I think our world just enjoys being a part of someone elses life from time to time.
